ARTICLE VI

Section 1 - Starting Date

1.1 The dates for the first day of practice, first scrimmage, first game and last game are determined by the Section.

Section 2 - Official Rules

2.1 The official rule book shall be the National Federation of State High School Association rule book.

Section 3 - Official Ball

3.1 The official ball shall be any ball conforming to NFHS specifications.

Section 4 - Contacts

4.1 The number of contacts allowed is determined by the Section.
4.2 Scrimmages held after the first game shall be counted as a contact.

Section 5 - Game Times

5.1 Frosh-Soph games to follow immediately after conclusion of varsity game.

5.2 Schools with facilities to play two games may choose to play Varsity and Frosh-Soph games simultaneously.


Section 6 - Game Results

6.1 The winning school shall be responsible to notify the media with game results.

Section 7 - Change in Classification

7.1 During non-league games athletes may move from one classification to another. In league play a player may move only to a higher classification.
7.2 An athlete may not participate in more than one classification in one day.

Section 8 - Pre Season Coaches Meeting

8.1 The soccer coordinator shall hold a meeting of all head coaches before the first league contest.

8.1.1 The boys meeting shall be the 2nd Monday in September

8.1.2 The girls meeting shall be the first Monday in March.

 

Section 9 - Championship

9.1 The League championship will be awarded to the team who finishes the year with the most points. No champion will be recognized below the varsity level.
9.2 Teams are awarded points in the following manner:
Win = 3 points
Tie = 1 point
Loss = 0 points

Section 10 - Playoffs

10.1 The number of teams qualifying for participation in the playoffs shall be determined by the Section.
10.2 Tie Breakers
10.2.1 The first criteria to break any tie shall be on the basis of head to head competition.
10.2.2 If head to head competition does not break the tie, goal difference among the tied teams will be used.

10.2.3 If goal difference does not break the tie, total number of goals allowed during league play will be used.

10.2.4 If none of the tie breakers are able to break the tie, a coin flip will be used.

10.2.4.1 Any coin flip will be done by the League Commissioner in the presence of the coaches,


Section 11 - Miscellaneous - Activity Specific

11.1 With mutual agreement of both coaches a game may be played with one (1) official.

Section 11 - All Conference Selection

11.1 The soccer coordinator shall call a meeting for Monday evening following the completion of the league season . Coaches shall be informed of the meeting time and location at least one week in advance. Notification shall be by phone or Email.


11.2 Schools will be awarded positions on the All Conference team in accordance to their finish in League competition. Each school will make their own determination as to who will be placed on the All Conference team. The number of positions shall be as follows:

12.3 Twenty two (22) players will be selected. If additional teams are added to the league, the above table will be modified, but in no case will the number of awards exceed 22.

12.4 A ballot shall be taken to name the MVP. Each school shall have one vote to name the MVP from those selected to be on the All-Conference team. A school may vote for its candidate. Only one (1) MVP shall be named.

12.5 Each school will receive two honorable mention positions.

12.6 All conference selections shall be forwarded to the league commissioner and to the media.

12.7 No all conference team shall be selected below the varsity level.
