The Capital Valley Conference awards a pennant to the school who earns the most points in the All-Sport Competition each year. That school will also host a perpetural trophy the next school year. The pennant and perpetual trophy will be presented to the principal of the winning school at the League BBQ in August.

Points are awarded for the place each team finishes in the CVC standings. Eight points are awarded for first place, seven for second, six for third, four for fourth, three for third, two for seventh and one for eigth place. If a tie occurs, the total points for the places tied will be added and divided by the number of teams tied. (Points are reduced if there are less than eight teams assigned to the league.

If there is a tie for the overall points, the team with the most first places will be awarded the trophy and pennant.

Points will be for varsity competition only.

In the event that a school who not assigned to the league in all sports participates, their points will not be counted and everyone who finishes behind them will be elevated a place.
